My story

Meet Scout!Scout is 1.5 years old, 40 lbs, and built like a mini bodybuilder—this little lady looks like she hits the gym after hours. She may be small, but she’s strong, spirited, and full of love. A retired mama whose puppies were adopted months ago, Scout is still waiting for her turn. She’s pure sweetness and a total cuddle queen. Scout loves going on sleepovers with staff and volunteers, and here’s what we’ve learned: she’s a bed hog (be warned!), a shadow dog who always wants to be close, and an expert in snuggling. Wherever you go, she’ll be right behind you.Her hobbies? Shredding toys with enthusiasm, watching TV, napping on the couch, and patrolling the pond to bark at geese. She enjoys calm strolls around the apartment complex and chill time indoors. While a yard would be nice, she doesn’t need one—Scout is happy as long as she’s with her people.Scout is house-trained and has never had an accident during her sleepovers. She’s a little unsure around other dogs but could live with a calm pup after slow introductions and a few meet-and-greets. Cats? Not her thing. But kids? She loves them—babies, toddlers, teens, adults. Everyone gets kisses and affection.Scout is ready for her forever home. She’s loyal, loving, and just waiting for her person to find her. Could that be you?Thank you for showing an interest in our pets. We can never guarantee the breeds of the animals. We do not DNA test. Please feel free to call us with any questions.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mama Scout, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
