***Local adoption required: Cornbread needs to be adopted by a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who will commit to taking him to his follow-up puppy vetting appointments with PPR's vetting partner. These appointments have already been scheduled and their cost is covered in the adoption donation.*** Hi, I’m Cornbread! I'm a 3 month old, 10lb Black Cur blend. I'm a happy, smart, loving puppy who just wants a family to call my own. General Behavior: Curious, confident, cuddly, clever, cheerful: that’s Cornbread! He is a typical, energetic puppy. Likes & Dislikes: Cornbread adores toys: the more, the merrier! He is small and very fast and he’d love a fenced yard where he can play all day. Training: Cornbread has the makings of a fine gentleman! He is housetrained if let out on a regular schedule. He even lets you know when he needs to go out. He tolerates car rides, he can walk well on a leash, and he sleeps in a dog bed at night. He can be mouthy with hands and feet when playing but can be redirected to toys easily. He’s a smart cookie who already knows sit, down, and shake. Medical: Cornbread is a healthy boy! He still needs his final puppy vetting appointments. These have already been scheduled with PPR’s vetting partner, and his adopters must commit to taking him to these appointments. Their cost is covered in his adoption donation. Other Animals: Cornbread would benefit from having another dog around who could show him the ropes of being a puppy. He’d probably be OK with cats, too: when Cornbread interacted with the free roaming cats at the vets office, he was curious but cautious and did not chase. Children: Cornbread is good with children of all ages. Home: Cornbread would do well in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can blow off steam. As a puppy, he needs someone who is home more often than not and who can let him out every two hours or so. Grooming: As a short-haired dog, Cornbread should not need too much elaborate grooming apart from brushing and baths. Overall: This energetic, loving little guy will make a wonderful companion for an active family who can raise him, train him, and love him forever. Cornbread went camping with his foster family. He met lots of people and got to interact with dogs of all sizes and did very well. Has Cornbread captured your heart? Do you live in the Central Florida region? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. His adoption donation is $400. ##2332809##
