My story

Looking for a sweet, affectionate pup who’s equal parts adventure partner and couch potato? Say hello to Chico – a lovable, goofy, and loyal companion who’s ready to find his forever home! Chico is a medium-energy dog who loves his walks, splashing in kiddie pools, bird-watching (he’s a big bird fan!), and chewing on his favorite toys. But when the fun is done, he’s all about curling up beside you (or on you – he thinks he’s a lapdog) for some quality cuddle time. He’s been nothing but a gentleman around adults – polite, friendly, and always excited to meet someone new. While he hasn’t been tested with kids or other pets, Chico has shown zero reactivity to dogs or humans during walks. That said, a home without cats or other dogs is likely the best fit for now. Chico is fully house-trained and has excellent home manners – no accidents, no destruction, and no crate needed. He’s happy to lounge freely at home while you’re at work and will greet you with tail wags and affection when you return. Rainy days are his one gripe (he’s not a fan of going potty in the rain – can you blame him?). Leash walks are a breeze... unless a bird catches his eye – then it’s all systems go! He’s smart, treat-motivated, and knows basic commands like "sit" and "down." He's respectful around food (though he might try to charm you with a hopeful look), and responds well to gentle redirection. Chico would thrive in an adult-only home with a semi-active lifestyle – someone who enjoys a couple of walks a day, a bit of playtime, and then settling in for some snuggles on the couch. He’s silly, loving, and just wants to be near his person. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’ll keep you company, make you laugh, and always be down for a cuddle – Chico might just be your perfect match. Ready to meet this sweet soul?
