My story

Echo is a stunning 4-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of resilience and a spirit longing for a place to call home. His early years weren’t easy, but despite the challenges he’s faced, Echo is ready to turn the page and embrace a new beginning with a patient and experienced family. True to his breed, Echo is intelligent, loyal, and eager to bond with his people. He thrives in an environment where structure and guidance are provided, and he would do best with adopters who understand the unique needs of German Shepherds. With the right leadership, Echo will blossom into the devoted and confident companion he’s meant to be. Echo does have some challenges that will require ongoing training and management. He is reactive to other dogs while on leash and will need a dedicated owner to help him work through this behavior. Due to his strong prey drive—he has killed wildlife in the past—Echo would be best as the only animal in the home. A quiet, predictable household with adults or older children who respect his boundaries would be ideal. If you have experience with the breed and are ready to provide the structure, patience, and training he needs, Echo will reward you with unwavering companionship and a lifetime of love.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Echo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
