SLINKY

My story

Meet Slinky! This sweet one-year-old Pit Bull mix is on a journey to find his brave side, and he`s hoping you`ll be his trusted guide. Slinky is a timid boy who needs a patient and loving family to help him build confidence as he explores new things. He is particularly fearful of the leash going over his head. While Slinky allowed all handling during his assessment, it`s clear he was uncomfortable with most of it, often seeking reassurance from his handler throughout. What this gentle soul truly craves is to be close to his person. He finds comfort in snuggling up, often laying or sitting right in your lap and resting his head on your shoulder. It`s clear he has a deep desire for connection and security. During playtime, Slinky was mostly fearful and preferred to stay close to his handler, finding solace in their presence rather than engaging actively in games. However, Slinky is definitely food motivated! He loves his meals and treats and will eagerly take them from your hand – sometimes a little quickly! This incredibly sweet boy would thrive in a calm and understanding home with a family of teenagers and up who can provide him with the gentle encouragement and patience he needs to blossom. If you have a quiet environment and a lap ready for cuddles, Slinky is waiting to offer you his unwavering loyalty and affection as he slowly but surely gains the confidence to embrace the world around him.
