My story

Meet Henry! Henry is an 8 year old retired tomcat who's survived a rough life on the streets. When he was found, he was wounded and in pretty rough shape. The vet determined that he is FIV+. Now, most cats can live a long healthy life despite that diagnosis. But Henry's wounds made his FIV + status a very difficult situation. For the first month he was in foster care, he had 3 procedures to address his wounds. He is finally on the mend with antibiotics that will continue for a little while longer. But, Henry is now thriving and healing. This cat has been through so much in such a short time and yet he has only ever been sweet to his foster parents. He's gotten used to living the good life. Henry has been fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped. He only has 2 teeth left, but he is a GREAT eater. He loves food and his snacks and his comfy beds. The vet did a full blood workup on Henry and despite everything he's been through, he's a very healthy cat. She prescribed some kidney medication, not because he has issues, but as a preventative measure due to his age. We all want him to live a long healthy life now that he's safe from the streets. Henry loves pets and he loves to be brushed. You wouldn't know he was a street cat with his sweet demeanor. However, Henry would do best as a solo cat in a home where he can roam freely like the king he is. Henry may not be the cuddliest of cats, yet, but if you're looking for a chill senior cat to be your companion, then Henry is your guy. He just wants his snacks and to sleep in his bed next to you.
