My story

Name, age: Ivy, 3yrsLikes: Tuna squeeze tubes, wet food, little cubby’s or spaces she is able to feel safe in and being read books to. Dislikes: touching around her eyes, is okay with head pets, and being picked up.What would be the ideal home? Ivy’s ideal home would be a nice quiet environment with parents who are able to give her the time she needs to open up. Good with other cats? Unknown but may benefit from a sibling who is more confident and can show her the ropesGood with dogs? Unknown Good with children? No young children as she needs her spacePersonality: Ivy is a very sweet girl who likes to keep to herself. She is not the most social but has made some progress opening up, the way to her heart is through tuna squeeze tubes but she may take a bit to feel comfortable with you feeding her directly at first. She will let you know if she doesn’t like something by moving away or with her body language so be sure to respect her boundaries, she is just very shy. How long will it take to settle into a new environment? A few months Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Spends most of the day hiding in her safe place and likes to come out at night when you are sleeping. She will need a slow introduction to you for the first little while, so I recommend a smaller area at first so you are able to sit with her for periods of time during the day. Medical: History of constipation, currently on medication for constipationIf you think Ivy is the one for you - fill out an application today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ivy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
