My story

Meet Bodie! (formerly known as Limey)Looking for a dog who’s equal parts cuddle buddy and clever companion? Bodie might just be the one for you! This sweet, affectionate pup has been thriving in his foster home and is ready to bring his calm, loving presence into his forever home.Bodie is fully house trained and leash trained, and he’s as polite as they come. He knows an impressive list of commands including: sit, lay down, stay, come here, up, no, out, outside, water, inside, and dinner. Mealtime? He’ll sit patiently and wait for the release word “go” before eating—he’s got excellent manners and is eager to please!He gets along great with other dogs both at home and at the park. He`s not interested in being the boss and is happy to submit when needed. He’s also done wonderfully with foster kittens, gently sharing space and even cuddling with them. Bodie is a gentle soul who reads the room well and enjoys quiet companionship.While he’s happy to playfully wrestle with his humans when invited, he’s not interested in roughhousing with dogs—he prefers a more relaxed vibe. His favorite things include cuddling on the couch, asking for pets, chewing on hard toys, and chasing balls indoors (yes, he’s an indoor fetch champion!). Outside, Bodie is calm, non-reactive, and loves to explore the world at a slow, thoughtful pace with lots of sniffing.He responds to the name “Bodie” (instead of Limey) and has developed a close bond with his foster family. His foster describes him as having an all-around calm, sweet, and loving demeanor—he’s the kind of dog who quietly makes himself part of your routine and your heart.Bodie would do best in a home that enjoys a relaxed pace of life and has room for a big-hearted, well-mannered snuggler.
