My story

Shadow is a 13 year old poodle with a stunning gray coat. She is spayed, heartworm negative, and is up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. Shadow is a friendly, people oriented dog. She loves spending time with her people, going to the yard or out on walks, and of course - tasty food and treats. Shadow is one of the January hoarding case dogs, but she was a personal pet to the male owner. She was clearly doted upon and is very acclimated to humans. Shadow is doing well with house training and prefers to go in a yard over using potty pads or while out on a walk. She is harness and leash trained and enjoys exploring calmer neighborhoods. Shadow is stunning and has what the internet calls "hot girl" problems. Which means, as a gorgeous girl, she has anxiety, allergies, and tummy troubles. Her environmental allergies are easily managed and her tummy troubles reduced after she went on a low fat, limited ingredient diet. She Is also working on her anxiety, training and a confident canine friend are helping greatly. Shadow met a group of younger children with their adults while out on a walk in a park. She behaved beautifully and accepted gentle pets. We believe her new home could have dog savvy older children. Shadow's new home must have one or more people who are home most of the day. Her ideal home is in a quieter neighborhood with a fenced yard. While she'd be delighted to be an only child, she has shown that she acclimates more quickly with a fur-sibling.
