My story

Meet Kenzie, our friend with City of Raytown Animal Services. She's a special girl who is looking for a great home. Kenzie is part of an ongoing cruelty investigation with law enforcement. She was the only living dog removed from a property last week, multiple other dogs, ranging in age from 4 weeks to several years were not as lucky. Kenzie was found tied up in her backyard with her puppies on a deck above her and sadly they had been deceased for several months. We cannot imagine what was going through this poor mama's mind. Kenzie is our little survivor and she deserves the best life can offer. She is a little scared at first, as can be expected, but quickly warms up and will show you how much love she has to give. The staff at Laurel Pet Resort has been amazing for her, she is coming out of her shell, loving all of the pampering, extra treats, and all the love she's ever dreamed of. She is now ready to go to a home where she can continue to decompress and thrive. She does well with other dogs and would be ok in a home with older children. She has not been cat tested. She's been through so much, we know there has to be a loving home where she can be confident and know all of her needs are being met and she's loved.
