10 months old and 5KG in size Winnie 2 came to us from a shelter when she jumped out of her owner's arms and fell to the floor breaking her femur. She has been in foster care healing and recovering from that accident and is now ready for a new start in life. Winnie is initially shy when meeting new people but does warm up with time and space. She is good with other dogs but when playing she can be a bit rough which is not something all dogs like. Her play style may not be compatible with some dogs. Winnie is working on her outdoor housetraining and is coming along nicely but not quite there yet. She is pee pad trained. Her foster mom lets her out every 4 hours or so and she goes each time. She is currently eating science diet puppy wet twice a day. Her trazadone (which was given to keep her calm during her recovery) will be weaned off as the vet cleared her back to regular exercise just the other day. In her foster home she has been exposed to several other dogs, a parrot and horses. The foster family did not have a cat. Winnie is not destructive when left alone but does enjoy chewing paper. She can be crated overnight if needed, but would prefer to sleep with her owner. She will bark and whine if in the crate if another dog or people are active around her. Winnie is easy to walk on a leash. She will go to the bathroom on leash if there are not that many distractions. She was good for grooming at PetSmart. Travels in a crate in the car. Has been known to get car sick. Currently she sleeps with the other dogs on a dog bed. April 3, 2025, 10:51 am
