My story

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs on to their new adopting families leaving April 4th 2025 from Southern California where we are located to the East Coast. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Paisley to our trip for the right home 💕 As always, for peace of mind for our adopting families we never ask for ANYTHING up front. Adoption fee/travel costs are always due when we arrive in person with Paisley in hand ❤️ Meet our precious girl Paisley! She is a mix between a yorkie and a silky terrier. Yes, she is hypoallergenic so you won't have to worry about shedding with her. Her coat is very soft 😊 She turns 2 years of age on 10/3/25. She weighs 4.7 lbs. Yes, she is full grown and at a very healthy weight. She is naturally small! She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental cleaning done, and had a great overall physical exam with our vet who has cleared her to find a home all her own ❤️ She is an absolute doll! She is VERY sweet and absolutely adores everyone she meets! Men, women, and children alike ❤️❤️❤️ She is very affectionate and adores attention however she can get it. She is also very independent and will go about her day as you go about yours and either nap nearby or quietly wait for you to finish your task at hand so she can lay in your lap 😊 She is NOT a barker.Unfamiliar noises don't really phase her as she truly puts her trust in her human that she will be kept safe ❤️ She is very quiet and serene tempered. She has a beautiful temperament!!! She has a kind, loving, and attentive heart always ready to be right where you want her to be giving you every last ounce of her love ❤️ She has a very playful side to her as well and will run around the room in full “zoomie mode 😂.” She loves her toys, but not as much as she loves a good treat!! She is highly food motivated which has made working with her extremely easy. There isn't anything she won't do for a good midday or anytime of the day snack (or two 😬.) She is NOT high energy so don't allow her age to be a deciding factor in adding her to your home because you would be missing out on one of the sweetest girls I know!!! Paisley is an easy YES for anyone's life, and family dynamic. She checks all the boxes, and is truly a great dog. And I have to tell you about HER and her little paw 😂 She always holds it out when she wants something and has learned to give the puppy eyes along with it so trust me that you'll have a very hard time telling her no🙃 She loves to be with her people for sure but loves the company of other sweet playful dogs too so whether it's just YOU or you happen to have another friend for Paisley to join in life I assure you that she will be happy no matter what! She loves to be in bed with you, and has learned to use the steps, and ramp so that she doesn't have to wait for us 🙃 She is crate trained, and doesn't mind being in one if needed, but she is so well behaved in the home that she doesn't use one here for her, as she has free roam of a much larger area when we are not with her. She hasn't shown any signs of separation anxiety while alone and is just happy being able to lay in our bed til we are back with her ❤️ She is house trained, and understands the concept of pads if needed as well. She is so small that we have a very good schedule taking her in and out as we always accompany her due to the wildlife we have here. She is great on road trips, and will sleep the whole way 🌸 Wonderful with our groomers! She loves a good spa day 💕 She has been to our groomers a few times since with us here and has been an angel for her each time 😊 Fun, and cute little fact is that when she stretches or yawns she reminds of the grinch characters and their little faces 😂 (I will attach photos to show you!”) She came from a senior who had to move in with her adult son after losing mobility to the point she could no longer care for herself. She loved Paisley! But could no longer pick her up, and she knew that broke her little heart. She wanted her life to be full, and happy and just knew their time together had come to an end. Her adoption fee is in our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/paisley Her spay went perfect, they examined her ears and my vet cleaned both of them. Aside from cleaning them, both ear drums were intact and were in overall great health! She did have slight tartar buildup so my vet did a dental cleaning and polish. No extractions were needed, nor were there any missing teeth. Her teeth were in overall great health! Her overall physical exam went perfect. No health issues or concerns moving forward whatsoever. She was cleared for her yearly vaccines; was microchipped, and was given an antibiotic injection to aid in the healing of her spay, and dental cleaning. Due to the ear cleaning, dental cleaning (additional anesthesia time was needed to perform her cleaning along with IV fluids,) and the antibiotic injection given we are asking for an additional cost to help offset those costs. (The actual cost was higher than what we are asking but that's okay 💕)

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Paisley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
