My story

Where is Drogo? At any given time, probably lying at your feet keeping your tootsies warm. Drogo is a goober and a lover boy. He loves people watching while on walks and if a new human decides they want to meet them, he takes a quick sniff of their shoes, receives his pets, then sits on said shoes and leans into you as a reminder to not leave and keep the pets coming, please! His foster parents say Drogo sets the bar high for being the most well behaved and cleanest member of the household! He doesn’t get up on furniture, keeps all 4 feet on the ground when excited, knows his commands (sit, down, stay, out, look, leave it), is house trained, crate trained and encourages you to take time away from the home so he can get some solid REM cycles in. He’s happy following his dog bed to anyone room for the night, and will wait for you to decide when to rise and shine. He of course must pick out his top 3 favorite toys at the moment and bring them to bed with him. Even toys need snuggling. He’s very quiet and polite in the home and the backyard, having never heard a whine and only 2 small barks from him (sorry, Drogo, no one was impressed). Was that a knock at the door? Better run and find my human and stay by them until they tell me it’s OK to receive pets from our new friend. Drogo does very well at letting their foster family’s bossy golden retriever take the lead, including sharing toys. He’s great with children and recognizes their snuggling potential. Going for a car ride? Drogo will peacefully gaze out the window in a refined seated position, before using the opportunity to get in another nap. Are your toes cold? Need a snuggle? Probably time to give Drogo his forever home! Drogo is living in a foster home where we are learning more about him. To meet him please email foster@kcpetproject.org.His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.*Rosie Fund is providing Drogo`s adopter with a Rosie Life Starter Kit, which includes a collar and leash, ID tag, food, treats, toy, and KCPP $25 gift card for other enrichment items. PLUS Bigfoot Pet Photography has added a $350 photo artwork voucher! Visit rosiefund.org to see videos of Drogo and all current Rosie Dogs a

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Drogo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
