DOMINO*

My story

“Play hard, snuggle hard” is Domino’s motto. He’s an energetic and optimistic dog who you`d never guess is seven years old- he`s got the energy of a much younger pup! Domino loves nothing more than to go for a walk or play with his person, followed by snuggle time of course. That sure sounds like a perfect day to us!A volunteer friend shared, “I met Domino for the first time today. He was friendly and let me easily enter his kennel to leash him up. We walked over to a play yard, with him being a goofy guy, holding the leash in his mouth like he was walking me! Once in the yard I threw a tennis ball to see if Domino would like to play and it WAS ON!! He absolutely LOVES to play fetch and unlike a lot of dogs, he actually brings the ball back to you! We had so much fun playing together. He also showed me that he has a very nice sit, which he loves to exchange for treats! After burning off some energy, he just sat next to me on the ground and enjoyed some snuggles. He is a well-balanced, active little guy!” Shelter staff said, “Domino has high energy and is a spunky guy who loves to lay with his hind legs flat and get back rubs. He is very friendly and social.”In his foster home he`s been described as `basically a house trained hippo`. His foster has shared that he loves to show off his toys to everyone he meets often bringing one to the door when people come over. His foster also shared that he will play until he drops and when he does he loves to be right up next to his people. She also said `He is very animated when he is dreaming, probably just as happy asleep as he is awake!`In the shelter Domino has preferred the company of people to other dogs. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re looking for a great all-around pup, Domino is ready to go home and play with you today!
