My story

Meet Sticks – a sweet, 10-year-old black and white Pitty mix with a heart full of love and a story to tell. With his striking coat and soulful eyes, this handsome gentleman is sure to steal your heart.Sticks is our longest term resident who came to us after the loss of his beloved owner—a man he was deeply bonded to—and while the transition has been tough, he’s now ready to open his heart again. He tends to gravitate toward men, but with time and affection, he bonds deeply with anyone who shows him love.This velcro dog is the definition of loyal. He lives for companionship—nudging your hand for pets, leaning in for snuggles, and happily trotting by your side. Sticks is housetrained, walks well on a leash, and absolutely adores his daily strolls and car rides. Whether it`s a quiet walk around the neighborhood or a ride in the passenger seat, he’s just happy to be with you.He’s previously lived with both dogs and cats and would be thrilled to share his home with a furry friend or two again. While he’s gentle and affectionate, a little continued obedience work will help build his confidence even more.Sticks would do best in a calm, loving home with an adopter who will give him the patience and reassurance he needs to settle in. He’s the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be your shadow and your best friend.If you`re looking for a devoted, sweet companion who’s ready to shower you with love, Sticks is waiting for you.
