My story

We are pleased to offer you this handsome and sophisticated gentleman... August! August is one of the sweetest dogs you may ever meet. He is a lover of all people and does absolutely fantastic with kids. You will always be greeted with a tail wag and a snuggle when he meets you. August truly is the type of dog that you just can't help falling in love with. And who says old dogs can't learn new tricks? August is housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He is extremely smart and picks up new skills quickly. He also LOVES his training treats, which makes training a breeze. While he is full of so much love, August needs a home without other dogs. His past was not kind to him, and other dogs make him nervous and defensive. On walks he is able to refocus and keep moving, but in a home, he is happiest when he can fully relax without the presence of another dog. August is truly an amazing dog, who has been through so much in his life. His old soul radiates love. He is looking for a home where he can snuggle up with his favorite humans, some fluffy blankets, maybe some snacks, and enjoy his new life. He's made it to safety, and he is ready for his next chapter. August is estimated to be 7.5 years old and 58 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention.
