Purebred male rottweiler puppy. Good with other dogs. Little shy with new people but he is doing well and gets braver and braver with each new person he meets. He is calm and quiet most of the time. He is very smart. In the couple of weeks that he has been with us he has gone from almost acting feral to an almost normal puppy. He has learned how to sit, stay, come, walk on a leash and he has been potty trained. He came to us already crate trained and loves his crate. He is a special boy that will enrich your life if you give him a chance. This is what his foster mom has to say about him. charlie was a Very very Skinny stray boy running loose on the busy streets, and gave me a run for my money. It took me 2 hours trying to catch him and I finally got him. I called him about 18 names and he finally wagged his little nub for the first time at charlie and it just stuck. It has taken him a bit to come out of his shell. I'm not sure if he ever got to be a dog before. He has gone from a scared boy that didn't want anything to do with humans to the sweetest boy ever. Sad to say, but he cowers easily, so I think someone has not been nice to him in his past. He is slowly coming around and learning to be a good boy. He loves and plays great with other dogs. He will need to be adopted with another dog in the house. They give him the security he needs to believe that things are ok. He has learned how to sit and wait and come and get into the scary car. His forever family should be someone that is looking for a friend/ playmate for their dog and can understand and have the patience that everything is new to him. Once he is comfortable and feels safe and confident he will be so sweet and loving. He just need understanding that its going to take him time to do new things because everything is new to him. Someone will really win the lottery with this boy once he is comfortable. He is really is an angel and wants to do nothing but please and make u happy. He loves to play with toys tug of war and ball with the other dogs. He is learning to share, and doing well, considering he wanted it all for himself when he first got here. I don't think he really had those things where he was before. Come meet this sweet angel. Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption. please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states. On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Charlie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
