My story

Hi, my name is Maya, and I'm as sweet as my name sounds! While I may seem a little shy at first, it doesn't take long for my curious and playful nature to shine. Some of my favorite things are pets from my humans, purring, poking my head into new spaces, playing with wand toys, meowing back when spoken to, rolling over, and stretching to show my belly. To be perfectly honest, I'm still learning to tell the difference between cat toys and human hands/toes, so I would really appreciate it if someone can help me learn to figure it out. Sometimes I can get startled by sudden noises or movements, but who doesn't?! My foster parent has said that I recover quickly from that and respond well to their encouragement. Also, I'm good with other cats! Ask to meet me and you'll see!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maya, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
