My story

Look at this lowrider! Louie's family loves him SO much, but due to his mom's very serious illness, they have to find him a new home. He's an easy dog, and a Very Good Boy. His family says: "He is a quirky little dog that has a unique look that makes him almost comical in appearance, except for his sad brown eyes. We are often stopped while walking to ask about his breed and comment how cute he is. Louie is nearly oblivious to other dogs and cats, seemingly "minding his own business" most of the time. He is quiet in the house except when we arrive home and when someone grabs his leash. He jumps straight up on his hind legs in excitement for both of these occasions. He loves to go for walks, play catch, be brushed, & lay next to us while watching tv or reading." Louie is fully house trained and has been great with kids as young as five-- he can be a bit timid when first meeting new people, but never aggressive, and he warms up quickly. His only issue is a fear of boxes and suitcases, but that would rarely be an issue in most homes. He does well with other dogs and ignores cats. We guess he's mostly Amstaff and his short legs might come from Corgi or another dwarf breed like basset hound. It's wise to keep low riders from jumping off high places, because the likelihood of joint issues and arthritis is a bit higher, He should be on a joint supplement but he has no health issues. Louie is neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm/flea/tick preventions. He's ready to jump into his next adventure!
