Jack

My story

Jack is a 2 year old, 17 pound terrier / dachshund mix. He has a sweet, spunky personality once he warms up, which won’t take long! He has a big dog look in a little dog body, an ideal size for apartments. Jack has made incredible progress since his arrival from Mexico. He was initially very fearful, but every day he blossoms into his cheery little self. He is great on walks, with other dogs and unbothered by city noise and action. He is a pro sleeper at night and wakes up so happy and ready for belly rubs. Jack loves treats and will steal your heart, and your socks!  It has been such a joy watching this little guy come out of his shell and show his adorable personality. He still is a little skittish to touch and getting on the leash and will need reinforcement of outside potty training, though he is a pro on the wee wee pads at home. Jack will need a little time to unwind to a new family, but he is highly trainable and food motivated – a little cheese goes a long way! His ideal new parent will help him thrive with routine, he would be fine alone but would also love another dog in the house. He is unbothered by cats. Jack comes with his favorite dog bed, dog bowls, coat, toys and some food to give him a great head start and some continuity . Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and Lepto. Neutered and microchipped.
