My story

*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Kevin! He is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is almost ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'wave', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Just look at that wrinkly forehead! How could anyone say no to him? Kevin has learned lots of manners during his time at PACK. He really likes hanging out and playing with all the female dogs in the program. He is more selective with other males and it takes him a while to warm up to them. If he has a canine sibling at home, a female is going to be best. When his humans are gone, he struggles in his crate. He doesn't particularly like it. But he has been trusted and done well without being in a crate. Make sure to put up the trash and your shoes, and he'll be good! He doesn't chew on the items, but likes to stash them away for another day. Kevin loves his people! A bit too much sometimes, and shows his love by being a bit mouthy. Due to this, we recommend no kids under 5, where they may not understand he is just communicating with his mouth. He has also shown that he can open doors with the lever type of knob. This is just something to know, in order to keep him safely contained. He was leery of cats when he met them here, so if you are interested, we can have him meet some more kitty cats and see how he does. One thing Kevin does the best? Recall!
