My story

Meet Kappa! ?? This compact cutie with a big head and an even bigger smile is a total lovebug who lives to love and be loved. He adores every human he meets and wants nothing more than to be by your side—whether he`s sniffing every flower on a walk, chewing a bone at your feet, or wagging his whole body in delight when you come home. Kappa is incredibly smart and eager to please—he mastered stairs in a single day, learned “sit” in just 15 minutes, and also knows “touch.” He responds to “Kap” or “Kaptain” (which, honestly, suits him perfectly). Kappa is potty trained and a dream passenger in the car. Kappa enjoys walks to running around in a backyard which makes him an ideal companion for someone in an apartment. He does tire easy so short walks are his favorite. While he’s shown positive interest in other dogs, Kappa would thrive as being the main dog in the home and will need very slow introductions if meeting others. Affectionately nicknamed “Baby Shark,” he’s still working on curbing his excited love-bites—he’s not aggressive, just enthusiastic! With a little patience and continued guidance, this bright and goofy boy is sure to shine. If you`re looking for a loyal shadow with a heart of gold and the silliest grin, Kappa is ready to be your new best friend.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kappa, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
