My story

Shutter is a 5-year-old sweetheart who’s ready to focus on his future with a loving forever family! Found as a stray, we don’t know much about his past, but we do know that he’s a friendly, affectionate boy with plenty of love to give. Middle-age dogs like Shutter are the perfect balance—past the chaotic puppy phase but still full of personality, energy, and spunk! He’s ready for a life filled with treats, adventures, and endless cuddles with his new favorite humans. This dashing gent would prefer to be the only male dog in the home but is open to meeting any lovely lady doggie siblings who might be waiting for him.Shutter was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently where they said Shutters had a blast on a two-hour adventure through the trails at Lakeside Nature Center, happily exploring the woods and cooling his paws in the stream along the way. He’s a sweet, affectionate pup who enjoys cuddles just as much as he loves staying active. As a lively middle-aged dog, Shutters would thrive with an outdoorsy, active family ready to include him in their adventures.Shutter is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
