My story

Buddy is a sweet and outgoing older shepherd who is as loyal as they come! This lovable guy is happiest when he’s with his people, no matter what the day holds. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee at a café, heading out for a stroll, or settling in for a cozy night of your favorite show, Buddy wants to be right there, soaking up every moment by your side. He still loves to play, explore, and stay active—after all, the harder he plays, the better the nap afterward! He’s fantastic with other dogs and enjoys friendly romps just as much as he enjoys quiet companionship. With his gentle nature, affectionate personality, and easygoing charm, Buddy is ready to be the perfect partner for anyone looking for a loyal best friend to share life’s simple joys. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will stick by your side through every adventure (and every lazy afternoon), Buddy is your guy! Buddy is currently in a foster home. If you're interested in him, please email KSwanson@cityofberkeley.info First, we'll set up a virtual meeting with their current foster family via phone, Zoom, or Facetime, to provide you with more detailed information. Then, if you feel that Buddy might be a good adoption fit, shelter staff will gladly coordinate an up-close and personal meet and greet with your potential family member. Thank you for your support!
