Red (Bonded with Kitty)

My story

Meet Kitty and Red, a deeply bonded pair of 14-year-old, black-and-white inkblot babies who are prepared to fully take over your living room (and your life) with their extremely niche duo dynamic and wildly mismatched emotional states. Kitty (6 lbs, extrovert, seeking snack-based relationship) is your new life coach. She will perch loaf-style on the back of your couch and offer loud, unsolicited commentary on your snack choices, outfit, and general vibe. She’s a big fan of monologues, physical closeness, and not letting you pee alone. Kitty warms up fast and expects at least one throw blanket dedicated entirely to her. Red (5 lbs, introvert, probably has a private journal) is less impressed with you, specifically, but don’t take it personally. He requires a few board meetings and a background check before extending the honor of lap access. But once you’re in, you’re IN. He’ll climb onto your lap like a sleepy, slightly suspicious koala and politely request belly rubs. But don’t try to introduce him to your friends ~ he didn’t request that. These two were abandoned at a North Carolina shelter, clinging to each other like a couple at an airport rom-com climax. Once they made it to Miri’s Haven and realized they were safe and still together, they exhaled, curled into a single emotionally co-dependent blob, and began the important work of taking over the home. Now they’re looking for a very particular setup: -No kids, no chaos, no random guests popping in unannounced. - A calm home with a fenced yard (they’re not big on leashes or society). - Pee pads are a yes (for now). - And most importantly? You’ll be home. A lot. Preferably always. They might be small, but their combined energy is that of a mildly judgmental elderly couple running a cozy Airbnb for ghosts. They will reward your patience and quiet dedication with deep loyalty, occasional hijinks, and a frankly absurd amount of cuteness. Kitty and Red are approximately 14 years old.
