My story

Horus is a gentle, affectionate dog who’s made great progress in his foster home. After a few days of adjusting, he’s now reliably house-trained and gets along well with other dogs. He’s playful, has a quirky habit of licking his dog friends’ mouths, and fits in beautifully with the pack. He’s also done great with cats—respectful and even affectionate with them!He can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but quickly warms up and is friendly with everyone. While he hasn’t been around children yet, his gentle nature suggests he’d do well with respectful kids.Horus’s main challenge is separation anxiety. He’s not a fan of crates or being confined, and has been destructive when left alone. He needs an adopter who is home often, understands dog behavior, and can give him the time, structure, and companionship he needs. Horus is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. If you are interested in learning more or meeting Horus, please complete an adoption survey using the link below (copy and paste link):https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1wOteS8GPhRFQjae4v6KbH4QX_AqvQffhmQX8LZmUijI/editAll dogs and cats will be spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, preventative care, and microchipped.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Horus, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
