Meet Alexander the Great. No, not that one—but he does think he’s royalty.Alexander is a big ol’ senior dog with a big ol’ personality. He’s got opinions, he’s got preferences, and he’s not afraid to tell you about them—usually with a dramatic sigh or a well-timed side-eye. He’s been around the block, knows what he wants, and what he wants is: a comfy bed, good snacks, and a home that respects his elderly-dog boundaries. He’s lived peacefully with a lady dog before, but he’s kind of picky about his dog friends. Basically, he’s like that one guy at the party who only talks to people he already knows. So, if you’ve got other pups, let’s do a proper intro to see if they vibe. As for cats? Absolutely not. Alexander says, `No thank you` to all things feline.Despite being a big guy, he fits just fine in a tiny hatchback and rides like a champ. He’s crate trained but will look at you with deep betrayal if you make him sleep in one—he’s more of a memory-foam-throne kind of guy. He’s taking some meds and supplements to help with his arthritis, and he’d really appreciate a cozy spot to stretch out his royal limbs and snooze the day away.Alexander the Great is looking for someone who loves a senior dog with a strong sense of self and a love for the finer things (like treats and naps). If you`re ready to treat him like the majestic old man he is, come meet him—his throne (and heart) have room for you.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Alexander the Great, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
