My story

Meet Blue – Your New Adventure Buddy with a Heart of Gold! Blue is almost 4 years old, weighs 68 pounds, and brings just the right mix of fun and relaxation to your life. He’s up for a game of fetch or a scenic hike, but he’s just as content to chill by your side afterward, soaking up some quiet time. He may start off pulling on leash, but Blue quickly settles into an easy, relaxed pace. He’s treat motivated, knows how to sit, and is eager to please. Blue is also incredibly affectionate—he loves leaning in for pets and thrives on one-on-one time with his people. He’s done well in low-traffic public areas and enjoys getting out and about, though very crowded spaces might be a bit much for him. With his balanced personality, Blue is the ideal companion for someone who enjoys a little adventure followed by a lot of snuggles. If you're looking for a loving, loyal dog who’s always ready for both playtime and downtime, Blue could be the perfect fit. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
