My story

Amy von Ammerthal is a 10 month old beautiful girl with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! She’s always ready to head out on an adventure or just enjoy time with her people. With just a few minutes, she is walking wonderfully on leash, staying right by your side and often looking up for guidance. She’s eager to please and incredibly loving. Amy meets both people and dogs with a wagging tail and a friendly spirit. In playgroups, she does great—she’s respectful of calmer dogs and knows how to match energy levels, even playing sweetly with puppies. She is attentive, takes treats gently, and listens well. Whether she’s exploring the yard or leaning in for pets, Amy’s affectionate nature and smarts shine through. She’s food motivated, quick to learn, and sure to bond closely with her future family. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
