KOA (SPECIAL NEEDS)

My story

Koa was born in the shelter when his mom was abandoned by her owner one day away from giving birth. We noticed very quickly that Koa was significantly smaller than his siblings and was not suckling as he should. He went to a foster home where he could be better cared for and began to thrive. He was diagnosed with hydrocephalus around three weeks old and has been on meds for that since that time. He has done so well and has stayed asymptomatic. He is currently in the process of weaning off meds! Koa is the happiest guy! He brings so much joy to his foster family. He loves spending time with his people!! He was raised with foster kittens so is very good around cats, and is starting to get comfortable with their big dogs as well. He has never met a stranger and is going to be such a great addition to the right family! His ideal adopters will have experience with caring for dogs with medical needs.
