Willa Maude

My story

Willa Maude was one of six young adult cats rescued from a horrible situation where they had been left behind in an extended stay motel. Well-meaning residents tried to help them but they were living in filth with no heat or air. They badly needed rescuing. The saddest part of this for Willa Maude is that she was so scared and hid so well when the other five were rescued, the motel residents did not realize she was still locked in the room for another 10 weeks. This left her very thin and weak. But Willa Maude is truly amazing, with such a will to live. And soooo sweet! She is purring and loves to lean into head and back rubs. She is so gentle. She has been through a great deal in her short life but is still willing to trust people. She has healed up amazingly well. She is a little uncertain about other cats at times.
