My story

Introducing Marlon Brando. If you are looking for an incredibly sweet and affectionate healthy cat, he's the one. Marlon's rescue story is so sad. About four months ago a local community member saw a carrier near a bus stop in Harlem with a cat inside. According to shop owners in the area it had been there for "at least a day. Thankfully a local rescuer was able to scoop him up. 2023 has seen an unprecedented number of cat returns from adopters and cat abandonment. We've never seen it this bad and shelter statistics around the country support this sad fact. People can't afford veterinary care and economic challenges are the most common reasons. Shelters are bursting at the seams with surrendered animals. In the trenches in NYC many animals don't even have the luxury of being abandoned to brick and mortar shelters-they are just dumped outside in carriers like trash. But this trash is our prize and we sure do love Marlon. He's a wonderful cat. Marlon is fully vetted and healthy. He is an approximately 1 year old tuxedo boy with a strong body and a loving disposition. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, FeLV/FiV negative, and parasite free.
