My story

How this pet arrived: Huck was brought in by his previous owner. Why Huck might be the one for you: Huck is an inside only brooding intellectual who prefers to ponder life's mysteries from the safety of a cozy hiding spot rather than engage in trivial small talk. Coming from a quiet home with little excitement, Huck is slowly adjusting to a new world of sights, sounds, and (gasp) people, and he is starting to understand that people and the new world are not so awful. Huck is in a foster home where his parent says that he is starting to come out and explore his surroundings. Once you get past an initial hiss (the key is patience), he enjoys pets and may even jump on your lap. Huck will be most comfortable in a serene sanctuary in an adult-only household where he can do things at his own pace. His ideal human will be a patient soul who understands that true friendship is built on the sacred principles of food, treats and unforced cuddles. With those things, he may allow you the honor of petting him or even engaging in a polite game of string chase. But let's be clear: Huck is interviewing you, and the position of "Trusted Human" is not granted lightly in his world. If you are looking for an independent companion who likes his personal space and will give you yours, Huck might just be your soulmate. Fill out the interest form above!Shy/Fearful Cat:Huck requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Red Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 10 Age: 13yrs 0mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Huck, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
