My story

UPDATE from Chip's foster and neighbor (who has been helping socialize him): "Chip is the sweetest dog ever!! He loves snuggling and belly rubs. He loves to be by your side while you work or chill. He gets along with my cat because he leaves her alone, and she leaves him alone. He doesn't chew on anything and has never had an accident while in my home. He's quiet and not yappy, rides well in the car and is great on the leash while walking. He's not a huge stop-and-sniff-every-six-inches type, which makes walking enjoyable. He doesn't seem to shed compared to my constant cleaning of cat hair. If he was a man, I'd marry him! " Chip has come a long way in his wonderful foster home! Y'all better snatch this one up soon! ----------- Chip's estimated DOB is Aug. Or Sept of 2024. He was an owner surrender through no fault of his own. Chip is shy until he gets to know you, and we are working hard to get him more socialized. As Chip comes out if his shell, he is showing that he his fun-loving and attentive. He is not intimidated by big dogs or small children! In fact, he loves kids! He loves to sit against his foster mom's back in her chair while she works and is a great companion. He is potty trained and knows how to use a doggie door. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive.
