My story

Hi there! I’m Ruby, professional napper, full-time sweetheart, and part-time grass roller (it’s kind of my hobby). My foster mom says Ruby is a perfect name for me because I’m a “gem” of a dog! I’m a 10-year-young gal with a heart full of love and a serious appreciation for the simple things in life—like a sunny spot in the grass to roll around in or a cozy donut dog bed to curl up on. I’m what you’d call pretty low-maintenance and easy-going. I’m housebroken, sleep through the night and I don’t ask for much—just a little affection, some tasty treats, and maybe a short stroll around the neighborhood (I walk like a dream on a leash, by the way) or a little romp in the yard. I get along great with people and other calm dogs, and I’m more than happy to share my chill vibes with anyone who wants to hang out. Netflix and Chill? I’m down for it. Sitting on the porch watching the world go by? Sign me up. Sunday drive on some country roads? Let’s do it! I cooperated nicely for my bath and my coat is easy to brush and super soft, so you’ll want to pet me all day long and that’s fine with me! These days, I’m all about relaxing and being your best companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing, old soul who’s always down for a neck scratch or a little time in the yard, I might just be your girl.
