My story

My adoption fee has been fully sponsored.Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!INSIGHTS FROM MY FOSTER:`My name is Aggie! Don’t let my sad eyes fool you because I am happy and easygoing. I seem crate trained, house trained, good with other dogs, and generally good with older kids that can respect my boundaries. I share my foster home with 2 other dogs and I’m the bestest, most polite sibling. I can be shy with new humans but after warming up I am 100% Velcro dog. Given my gentle nature it’s possible I could live in harmony with a cat, but no one knows for sure - I`ll need slow, monitored introductions to any people or pets in a new home. I can be nervous until I get used to my environment.I am smart, learn quickly, seem to take cues well from other dogs, and am extremely food motivated. I am the treat queen with a black belt in snacking! Sometimes I pull on my leash or jump up when I get excited, but I respond well to correction. I am very eager to please my humans. What makes me so endearing? 1. My forehead wrinkles are next-level adorable and I know how to work them for treats and attention!2. I have mastered the art of the perfect sit and do it all the time, no command needed! 3. The sounds of my gentle snoring are comforting, and a sign that I feel safe and loved. My snores are therapeutic!4. I’m a lovable and charming hippo!I am not a fan of:1. being left alone by my humans, but I usually settle nicely in my crate after initial protest. 2. high traffic or noisy places with a lot of activity, like dog parks or busy public spots. As a medium energy gal, I enjoy some play time with plenty of snoozing in between. I would likely thrive in a peaceful home without much hustle and bustle, with humans who are home a lot or work from home, and older dog-savvy humans that can respect my boundaries. Also, my playful bursts would be a bit much for younger kiddos. I’m strong, but I promise it’s all in good fun! And car rides? I’m in! I am your expert co-pilot on the road.`I was adopted from a rescue last year, but my owner had to give me up due to personal and financial challenges. My foster mom is fostering me a 2nd time and she tells me that I am a GEM who deserves a loving and stable REAL forever home. In return I will bring so much joy, laughter, and companionship to the lucky adopter who sees how special I am.`

If you have any questions or would like to adopt AGGIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
