My story

MorticiaYou have no name when you are a stray cat brought to the HSHC facility because we don`t speak human or carry ID. However, the staff will give you a name as soon as you go through the evaluation process. So, as of March 20, my name is Morticia. I am a 3-year-old female cat, already spayed and litterbox-educated. Obviously, I was someone`s cat in the past. It was a good thing that I made my way here because I had an upper respiratory infection, an ear infection, and some sores in my mouth. I received excellent medical care and am now healthy and ready to find my permanent address. My coat is a beautiful blend of gold, brown, and black, which makes me a Torbie. When I first arrived, I was stressed and a little hissy because I didn`t feel well. Now, I am used to the routine of the shelter and enjoy the attention the staff and volunteers give me. I let the interviewer lady (IL) pet me everywhere and even gave her a few headbutts in greeting. I admit that some days, I don`t feel as sociable as others. You can tell when I prefer some alone time because I will put a `do not disturb` sign on my door. Please consider me if you`ve been looking for a lovely kitty to add to your household.
