My story

PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 3/30/2025 Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 Dot is now over 6 months old and successfully made it through her spay surgery. She continues to be a sweet, snuggly pup with some spice in the mix. As she's growing, her ears are becoming more Shepherd like, and they seem to have a mind of their own. Both up? Both bent? One ear up, one ear bent? Who knows! Dot takes it all in stride, as she knows no matter her ear position, she's still loved and adorable! Dot enjoys a warm lap or chest to snuggle on, and when she wants to give kisses, she will place her paws on your shoulders to make sure you're getting as many kisses as possible. She will play rough with the other foster dogs in the house, and has a boss babe kind of personality. She can get jealous if another dog in the house is getting attention, so if there are other dogs in the home, it's best if they're low-key/easy going. She is a perfect, snuggly companion for a family of any size and will likely be on the smaller size of medium full-grown. She continues to be a menace to the cat at her foster home, but is showing she's not aggressive to the kitty. Rather, she tries to pin the cat down to sniff her and kiss her. However, not all kitties will appreciate the extreme sniff session, so we still don't recommend her for a home with cats due to her prey drive. If you feel that your home could use a sweet pup, please consider adding Dot to your family! Dot is now almost 6 months old and is still looking for her forever home. She has almost mastered housetraining, and when on a schedule, has been accident free. She is your typical puppy - loves to play, chew on sticks and bones, and dabbles in excavation work in her foster home (she's proving to be an excellent digger). She loves people of all ages, and loves to play with the resident dogs. She can get jealous and bark if you're petting another dog, but given a bone or other fun toy, is distracted easily. She sits politely in her crate at bedtime if given her bedtime snack, and sleeps through the night without a peep. She does not like being crated during the day and cries, but will settle down after a while. She has shown prey drive around the resident cat, so where possible, a home without a cat or other small non-dog pets that roam the house is best. She does get overwhelmed at group Meet and Greets with so many other dogs, so if you meet her at an event, please be patient to allow her to show her true personality. Dot is a love, and enjoys a good snuggle with her foster family and play time. She loves to chew on bones and play with squeaky toys. If you're looking to add a wonderful pup to your family, please apply to adopt Dot today! Dot is a 4 month old Lab/Terrier mix, who earned her name due to the large circular brown dot on her forehead. As she's growing, more dots are appearing on her ears, but the rest of her sleek, smooth coat is all white. Dot has a LOT of energy for playing and loves running around the fenced in yard in her foster home and playing with all of the toys and other resident dogs. She is still working on perfecting her potty training, so her forever family will need to invest time and resources into getting her fully housetrained. Like many puppies, Dot is still learning to be gentle, and can be an aggressive kisser. Dot will need a family who can be home during the day , as she's still growing and on her 3 meals a day eating schedule. She does sleep in a crate at night in her foster parents' bedroom, and will cry for a few minutes before settling down and sleeping. All that to say - Dot is a love, and hasn't met anyone she doesn't like. She is curious about the resident cat in her foster home, but is respectful and keeps a safe distance after chasing her around the house. If you're looking for an active, loving dog to be your companion through the day, Dot could be a great fit for you! If interested in meeting Dot, apply to adopt her today or check the Wags Rescue and Referral Facebook page to see if Dot will be in attendance at the next group Meet and Greet!
