My story

BlueBefore a kind person brought me to the HSHC after finding me lost and alone, I didn`t have much hope for my life. I am 2-years-old, a typically handsome brown and black tabby boy, already neutered and using the litterbox well. I know I once had a home, but I can`t remember how I got separated from my owner. I was shaking in my boots when the medical staff checked me over. They wrote in my report that I was terrified but also sweet if approached slowly. It was good to hear I am a healthy fellow. Because I was painfully shy, on April 8, I was sent to live in a foster home to help improve my confidence and courage. My foster mom (FM) and her daughter have been real troopers about letting me settle in and not rushing to interact with me. When I first arrived, I was curious to investigate my new space. It had many perfect places to nap, hide, or observe the world. At the end of April, my FM reported that I had made plenty of progress. Still a fairly timid fellow, I am now loving the affectionate attention they give me. I even leaned into their head and chin scratches, demonstrating my bravery! I am eating well (gravy is the bomb!) and using the litterbox just fine. My fosters have given me new experiences and sensations. These include aromatherapy, white noise in my room, a variety of treats, several new beds, a cat tunnel, and a cat tower! It`s like I am having a lovely dream, waking up to find it`s all real. If this is what it is like to be a beloved pet cat, I want to apply to be adopted! 5-5-25
