My story

ABOUT JACKSON Jackson is a 2-year-old active boy, affectionately known as “Jaxy” by the staff and volunteers. This handsome pup came to HAP after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Understandably, after being surrendered, he is sometimes unsure who to trust and may take some time to warm up. Once he's comfortable, Jaxy is a sweet and loving boy who adores his people! He enjoys being outdoors and loves running around our barnyard, taking in all the exciting sights and smells. He’s very treat-motivated, loves back scratches, and has a blast rolling around with his toys. Jaxy already knows “sit” and “paw,” and he’s currently learning good leash manners. He’s looking for a family who can give him the love, attention, and care he’s been missing, and deserves! *Jackson is seeking a home as your only pet! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
