My story

My Foster Writes: Lucy is a small cat that is very lovely and sweet. Lucy had come so far in the 8 weeks she'd been with us! She's so playful and had even enjoying being petted!! She'd still run if we walked by her but she'd always come over for a treat! Watching her play and find treats we've hidden is so much fun ! We haven't been bored since she's been with us. She was originally afraid to look out the window but eventually started loving the bird & people watching. She needs a patient and low traffic home and I think she'd enjoy another cat so she has someone to play with. She's got a healthy appetite and doesn't overeat like some cats. I appreciated her excellent litter box etiquette and her being so quiet. She became very interested in what we were doing and started following us around. She even started sleeping on the bed next to me ❤️A volunteer writes: Huddled in the back of her condo and staring up at the corner to avoid eye contact with me, Lucy actively pretends to be part of the wall. She really wants to make things better for herself. How to do this seems to elude her, but we know a few things about Lucy that may explain why. We've heard she's the type of kitty who likes to get the feel of a situation before she jumps in and says hello. Though she prefers to watch from a distance and look for the perfect entrance, when that perfect entrance finally comes to her, Lucy is notably sweet. Perhaps finding a forever family for a shelter cat means putting yourself out there just enough to meet the ones right for you, but many of us have been on the outskirts of a group or a gathering enough to know that it's hard to know when to say hi and harder still to take that first step with the requisite confidence. Lucy came to us from a home with many other cats and could use a hand because as much as she'd like to become part of the wall at the moment, she's a cat who really just needs a chance. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 7.96 Age: 2yrs 3mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lucy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
