Tushi

My story

Tushi has been settling into foster care really well! She has really started to come out of her shell and she is such a silly sweet girl. Some things I wanted to note for potential adopters is she does have separation anxiety. We’ve been working with crate training with her and she is improving! Whenever I leave I put either a kong or lick mat in her crate so it gives her something to do while in there. I also started playing calming music which seems to help her. You can see in some of the photos that she actually scraped her nose in the beginning on her crate. She has even started going in her crate on her own which is so good to see! She can clear a 3 and a half foot gate and it wouldn’t surprise me if she could clear a 4 ft fence. She walks well on leash, when cars go by sometimes she does stick close to you if they are loud but after they go by shes back to walking in front of you but nicely! She does walk on a front harness with me. She isn’t a big fan of hard food so we’ve been feeding her soft food cans with a fresh pet topper. She is a grazier with eating and will not eat it all right away. She is very puppy like and will get into things if you aren’t watching. She loves soft toys and her kong squeaky bone! In the beginning she did have a few accidents overnight in her crate but she’s doing really well with potty training and will even go to the door when she has to go outside. She knows sit and takes treats really nicely from you! She does well overnight either with you or in her crate.
