My story

7-year-old Louis is a shy little lover boy who takes a little bit of time to warm up, but he loves cuddles on the couch! He is an easy going guy who is obsessed with snackies so it's easy to win over his heart! He is co-existing well with another dog in his foster home, preferring to keep his distance instead of interact. Sweet Lou was abandoned by his owner. Seeking companionship, he became the king of an outdoor colony in a Baltimore City neighborhood. When they asked Hero Rescue for help, we met Louis and knew we had to find him a good home! He will need a patient adopter to help him come out of his shell in his new home. If you're looking for a gentle and kind friend, Louis is your man! ------------------------------------------ ADOPTION FEES Altered kitten - $150 Pair of altered kittens - $220 Cat 6 months or older - $75 Adoption fees cover the cost of care and veterinary services. All adoptable cats have received: Spay/neuter surgery if over 2lbs Distemper vaccine Rabies vaccine (if over 16 weeks old) De-wormer and flea prevention medication Veterinary exam Test for FIV and FeLV Microchip ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Submit an application, including the cat's name that you are interested in or description of what you are looking for. If approved, you will be introduced to the foster to schedule a meeting within 5 days. Guidelines for the meeting are: - Bring a carrier and be prepared to take the animal home directly from the meeting. - Please be prepared to submit the adoption fee via electronic payment at the meeting. - If all goes well, the cat will go home with you directly after the meeting. If you are not ready to adopt at the conclusion of the meeting, please understand that we may process other applications for the cat. Because we have a limited number of foster homes, we cannot hold cats past adoption. 6.
