My story

Nico was discovered in a field chasing after their mother who showed as a tri-color Shepherd following their birth. The vet estimated they were 8 weeks old when captured by animal control. There were 3 dogs, 2 females and 1 male, our Nico. Nico would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog to show him the way. He can be shy of people, his captured was traumatic. Once he knows you are his friend, then you are buds. He loves other dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds and has taken to following his foster siblings on their daily routines. He is handsome, gentle, sweet natured and very intelligent. He learned housetraining quickly, goes into his crate although he prefers sleeping on his dog bed in his fosters room, he will wake her up if he needs to go out to potty. With the right family, who has time and patience to gain his trust and work to build the human-dog bond, he will flourish as his sister's have done. The sister's were captured 2 weeks ahead of him. Takes him a bit to start walking on lead, but once he decides he is ready he does well on lead. He loves romping around the backyard with the other dogs, sniffing to pick up all the news of the neighborhood and sunning on the deck. If interested in meeting Nico, please complete an application at www.k9ei.dog Do NOT expect us to respond to email inquires.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nico, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
