My story

MACY | 18 months | 65 lb | Spayed and healthy | Great with kids and dogs | Toronto Macy joined us from a community in Northern Manitoba where she likely lived outside a lot of the time. Since she's joined us, she's adapting beautifully to the comforts of a soft, indoor life! She loves to sleep on her bed, chew on bones, and is slowly getting used to playing with toys. She loves to be kissed, cuddled, and brushed. Macy is an amazing family member to people and dogs alike! She loves to play with other dogs, but is very respectful of other dogs' cues and size. She's very gentle with her smaller foster dog siblings, and loves to tear it up with larger dogs. She shares a food bowl with the dogs in her foster home, and has zero resource guarding. She's medium energy and walks well on leash, but she'd love a backyard since she really likes to lay out on a deck or patch of grass and watch the world go by. She also appreciates space to play! Macy is learning so much in her short time with us, including her name, and how to sit and lie down when asked. She's working on "come" and "stay." She's smart and eager to learn. She's incredibly gentle and sweet, and really seems to be relishing her new life in a cozy home. Her fosters describe her as a perfect dog and a pleasure to have in their house. We never play favourites at PAWS, but we do have a soft spot for Northern dogs who tend to be so special and loving. Macy is no exception, and whoever brings her home will be so lucky to welcome her into their family.
