My story

Meet Dragon, a brave 2-year-old pup ready to rise from the ashes of his past and soar into a brighter future! This sweet boy found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own and has had a rough start in life. Understandably, he felt a little overwhelmed at first in the big, noisy shelter, but with time and patience, we’ve seen glimpses of his loving and playful spirit start to shine. Dragon is a gentle soul who’s eager for a fresh start with a family that will show him the love and security he’s been missing. He’s looking forward to a life filled with playtime, belly rubs, and cozy cuddle sessions. Whether it’s romping around the yard, exploring new adventures, or simply curling up next to his favorite humans, Dragon is ready to embrace every moment with joy. If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, affectionate companion into your life, come meet Dragon—he’s ready to find his forever home and spread his wings!Dragon says he`s ready to be the main man in your life! This dashing gent would prefer to be the only male dog in the home but is open to meeting any lovely lady doggie siblings who might be waiting for him. Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match. Feel free to bring your pup along when you come to meet Dragon!Dragon was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Dragon was such a perfect dog for our rainy Doggy Day Out! While he was timid at first, he warmed up to us and was so snuggly and sweet. He has a wonderful calming presence, but we could tell would definitely come out of his shell the more comfortable he got. Dragon was great on walks. He wasn’t reactive to other dogs in yards and he didn’t pull on the leash. He also listens and obeys while on walks. While it was raining, we relaxed inside and cuddled up. When we tried to get him to play with tennis balls, he didn’t seem too interested. Dragon was truly such a sweet boy. And while he seemed quiet and timid at first, he really started to come out of his shell as the day went on. We saw quite a few tail wags from him when we’d interact with him. He was incredible!`Dragon is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home! His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place f

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dragon, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
