Edvard

My story

Edvard has made amazing progress while in foster care! His anxiety and reactivity toward strangers improve every day, and with continued patience and training, he’ll keep getting better. He’s very food-motivated and a quick learner—he already knows sit, lay down, and look at me, and we’re working on drop it, leave it, and stay/place (though he’s a bit of a Velcro dog and loves being close). Car rides were a challenge at first, but with treats and positive reinforcement, he now rides calmly and settles in nicely. On walks, he does great solo, though if he’s with his foster sister, he thinks it’s playtime! While he’s used to walking in town, he definitely prefers quiet trails. Edvard loves to play—especially roughhousing with his foster sister, chasing toys, and de-stuffing anything plush. Fetch is a favorite, though we’re still working on the “bring it back” part! This sweet, playful boy has come so far and will thrive with a patient family committed to helping him continue to grow and learn.
