My story

Playful, Sweet-Natured, Happy-Go-Lucky Meet Harlequin! This cheerful little guy is a very affectionate velcro kitty who loves life and you! He always wants pets and snuggle opportunities, and he’ll purr if you even look at him from across the room. If he realizes you aren’t in the same room, he will meow his little heart out and come looking for you. He’ll follow you around through the house because he loves your company and is infinitely curious about what you are doing at any point in time. If he wants attention and you’re not giving it to him, he will definitely let you know! When he’s not basking in pets and attention, Harlequin is always down for playtime! He especially likes crinkly toys, feather toys, and strips of fabric toys. He’ll happily carry these around in his mouth. Tug-of-war is also a favorite! How do you feel about belly rubs? ‘Cause Harlequin LOVES them! He’ll rev his purr engine loud and proud if you rub his belly. When receiving attention, Harlequin enthusiastically makes biscuits, even ones in the air mid-belly rub. This boy just loves being alive and enjoying life. While in foster care, he stays within petting range as often as possible, purring up a storm, making biscuits, and soaking up all the attention he can get! If you sit down with him, he’ll flop over and show his belly and roll around on the floor as you pet him. He seems conflicted between wanting to lie down next to you and getting pets but he’s so excited he can’t sit still! So he’ll roll around on the floor and crawl all over you, making infinite biscuits the entire time! It is confirmed: he is ADORABLE. He’d do best with someone who can give him LOTS of attention and playtime! Harlequin has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It’s a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part “FeLVies” are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Harlequin can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine!
