My story

🌟 Meet Chula – Our Little Miracle Pup! 🌟 A few months ago, we got a call after hours from a group of teenagers who found an injured dog. Our director rushed to the shelter and found Chula, a small Staffy, paralyzed and covered in gashes. We had no idea what had happened to her, and the sight broke all of our hearts. The next morning, we rushed her to the vet for x-rays—expecting the worst. But the results came back with a surprising twist: nothing was broken. And just 24 hours later… Chula was walking again! It turns out Chula had experienced tick paralysis, a rare but serious condition caused by a tick bite. Thankfully, with the tick removed and some TLC, she made a full recovery—and her sweet spirit never wavered. Chula is truly a survivor, and one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you’ll ever meet. She does great in playgroups, is a star in her kennel, and has a gentle, cuddly nature that makes her a joy to be around. She’s been through so much and come out shining—now all she needs is a forever family to love her as much as we do. 💖 Could it be you?
