My story

Meet majestic Helena! Helena is thought to be a cross between an Anatolian Shepherd and Black Mouth Cur and believed to be about 3 years old with a weight of about 60 Lbs. She is stocky with a strong build and lots of strength. Helena was rescued off the streets with two of her pups and is now looking for a forever owner to give her everything she deserves. We believe she has always been an outside dog but with training could make an excellent house and guard dog. Helena has a strong prey drive and probably wouldn't do well with cats or chickens but would most likely be a good hunting or herding dog. Do you have a place in your heat for Helena? The Black Mouth Cur Anatolian Shepherd mix is a high-energy, intelligent, and protective breed with a strong work ethic. Loyal & Protective: Inheriting guarding instincts from the Anatolian Shepherd, they are naturally watchful and devoted to their families. Energetic & Playful: This mix thrives on activity and engagement, making them great companions for outdoor-loving families. Good with Kids & Pets (With Socialization): Early exposure ensures they develop positive relationships with children and other animals. Independent & Strong-Willed: Can be stubborn—requires a firm, consistent owner who understands working breeds. Helena is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated and micro-chipped. $45 rescue adoption fee applies. If you would like an adoption application and to set up a meet and greet, E-Mail or call or text Lori at: 760-680-3713 Located in Grove, OK. More pictures and video available upon request

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Helena, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
